Question 1

What if I don’t know my birth time?

Accepted Answer

The hour pillar is left empty and six characters are read. Your type and element balance still appear; only the parts that need the hour are not shown. You can enter the time later and look again.

Question 2

Why is my chart different from another Bazi site?

Accepted Answer

Usually because of the rules: solar terms by date or by the minute, true solar time corrected or not, and which day a birth around 23:00 belongs to.

Question 3

What is the difference between Bazi and Chinese zodiac signs?

Accepted Answer

The zodiac animal is only the branch of the year pillar — one of the eight characters. A Bazi chart reads all eight, with the Day Master at the centre.

Question 4

Is my birth date stored?

Accepted Answer

No. The calculation ends in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. “Remember” keeps it only in this browser and can be cleared any time.

Question 5

Do two people with the same chart get the same result?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With the same eight characters, sex and longitude correction, the judgement and the type are the same.
